He was a writer who is best-known for creating "Perry Mason" (started first as a radio program, then television series and finally various television movies). Some of his other works include novels such as "The D.A. Draws a Circle", "Gladiator for Rent", "The Case of the Dangerous Dowager", "The Case of the Caretaker's Cat", "The Case of the Velvet Claws", "Sharks Never Sleep", "The Case of the Turning Tide" and "The Case of the Howling Dog". He sometimes wrote under the pseudonym A.A. Fair. He died of cancer.
