MLB baseball player (outfield, designated hitter). He played for the San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, Texas Rangers, Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs. During his career, he had 332 home runs, 461 stolen bases and is the only player to have hit a home run his very first time at bat in the Major League. As well, he, along with Barry Bonds, Willie Mays and Bobby Abreu, had 6 or more consecutive 20-20 seasons (20 stolen bases and 20 homeruns). He was later a batting coach for the Indians. He was the father of player Barry Bonds.
